This isn’t just for the young, maybe even more so…its for the young at heart. Oh collagen, you’ve given us images of lumpy lips and cheeky cheeks. but truth be told, you were a natural all along. And lets face it, we could all use a little added glow in todays world. Not to mention joint and bone health that will have you feeling young more importantly. Oh and I haven’t even mentioned nails and hair.
So what is it really, Collagen? It’s a main structural protein found in connective tissue. Derived from the greek word “kolla” meaning glue. Makes sense right?
So that being said, you could see why it might be just a little bit important in the maintenance and even repair of all tissues , muscles, bones, and yes..SKIN! Oh and why do we get wrinkles, well amongst other things, collagen production declines with age.
So that’s when we call in for more nutrition, more support, to get on board with our skin.
We are so so so lucky that locally in Vancouver, we have, hands down the best manufacturers of collagen supplements on the market. This is NOT a sponsored post, this is just a love letter. I have so much I could share on this subject but I will save it for another time. Its a great story though.
Regardless, if you haven’t yet, give TruMarine a try. It is worth every penny, and I honestly have never loved a supplement more. In the meantime, here is a recipe I have created for glowing skin. Maybe a girls best friend? Most likely. Using TruMarine, in conjunction with the most powerful collagen boosting foods. You are going to shine bright like a diamond. Literally. from the inside out.
Here’s how it works
Citrus: helps boost collagen and elasticity in the skin via Vitamin C. Antioxidant rich to combat free radicals that cause damage to our skin.
Green Vegetables: More Vitamin c and anti oxidizing enzymes the prevent the breakdown of collagen.
Protein: Tissue repair, we need adequate protein levels in order to keep collagen production optimal.
K, enough talking, get glowing…
Peace
