chi, chi, chi, chia
Chia seed puddings are one of my favourite breakfast foods. And though I love diversity and it is so important for overall health, I do find myself eating this as breakfast most days during the week. Lets also be honest, in the morning, if I’m going to insist you eat breakfast…which I’m gonna, then I know it has to be fast, convenient, and a powerhouse. Otherwise what’s the point?
One of the main reasons I love Chia seeds is that they are loaded in brain healthy Omega 3’s. These are crucial to an optimally functioning brain. Wether we are dealing with more stress in our life, disease, depression or anxiety, these essential fatty acids hold an important key to supporting brain function. I am so passionate about brain health and its overall effects on the mind and nervous system.
So….Why eat this? It is rich in Omega 3 oils which as mentioned above are beneficial for all your body systems, but think brain health first…especially first thing in the morning. I mean yes, please! It is also loaded with fiber which is going to keep you full and satieted (nutritionist speak for satisfied)all morning. It has plenty of protein which is going to help keep that blood sugar balanced nicely until you are ready to eat again, actually fuelling your metabolism and digestion and at the same time, it doesnt weigh you down so you can feel energized and read to go.
***You can absolutely omit or replace the fish oil supplement if thats not your flow, but if it is, you will be sure to see lots of added benefits in brain and physical performance.***
Lastly… I just wanted to mention, as equally important to delicious nutrition, I want this site to be accessible. I want you to find recipes that you can relate, remake, and at times also get adventurous. So tell me what you want to see more of, or any questions that you have. I am always open to suggestion and love knowing what you need more of, and one of those things is time. So lets save that and get convenient and health at the same time.
