Going into spring, we are thinking of starting fresh and cleaning the slate. Making room for new growth, habit changes and prepping the body to get through summer.
We’ve had a long winter and I think are all craving not just a bit of Vitamin D, but also colour. K, so I can’t bring the clear skies, but I can help to cleanse and detoxify.
This salad is not only beautiful to get the body cleansing regularly, with the addition of dandelion and edible flowers, but it is also a feast for the eyes, something I think of as so important when we are nourishing the body and heart. Might change the way you look at salads, no? And besides…we finally have a use for those edible flowers!
EAT THIS: Because a daily dose of greens is important, and when you add in bitters like dandelion greens you are assisting in giving your body all the goods that you would want during a cleanse or detox diet. Dandelion aids in digestive health, kidney health and liver health. All the key ingredients to get you cleansing beautifully plus a boost on antioxidants to add onto the nutrition power punch.
RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
4 plus handfuls of Salad Greens
1 bunch Dandelion greens
1-2 Avocados
1 pckg of Edible Flowers
1/4 cup of Dried Cranberries
1/4 cup of Slivered Almonds
3 Tbls Cacao Nibs
1/4 cup Coconut Bacon or Shredded Coconut
Maple Tahini Dressing (I subbed lime juice in for half the ACV in recipe for a nice fresh kick)
