Holistic Therapy – integrates the many modalities in Kate’s repertoire. This is a natural evolution of translating western therapeutic skills with nature based (often traditional) skills flexibly within one working container.
This work is Person Centered, Embodied, Relational, and Creative.
What does this mean? This container holds soulful therapeutic conversation and support as in traditional counselling/therapy practices, but alongside the possibility and proximity of other therapeutics entering such as somatic healing, therapeutic breathwork, herbalism and holistic nutrition when applicable..
What this work also does is allow the opportunity for local clients, to bring this work outside and into nature when or if accessible and with planning. In this way, there is a third person of support in our work which is nature. When this is limited to weather or scheduling, we find nature in the comforts of our home and the technologies that can connect us which allows for clients abroad to continue this therapeutic work from their homes and sacred spaces.
This work is deeply relational and works through a trauma informed lens and compassion focused curiosity. Some of the clients that seek this ongoing support may be looking to understand and tend to their experience of anxiety, eating disorders and body image related issues, grief, trauma, nervous system support, connection with self and self trust to name a few.

What makes this different from traditional therapy?
In short, Holistic Therapy allows for dexterity in application of numerous modalities and approaches including what we think of as traditional therapy. However traditional therapy has often lacked the nuance and creativity to expand beyond outwards from the mind space into other modalities that are in support of healing and resolution of many things including trauma. Body and somatic based approaches, and integration of nature based supports through herbs, plants, and even breath.
