Smoothie bowls are having a moment. And why shouldn’t they?… it’s like the modern day sundae  for adults if you will, and super foods are just the cherry on top.

One of my favourite things about smoothie bowls is that they become this insanely delicious vessel for super foods that otherwise people have no idea of how to incorporate. If you don’t know how to use it…chances are it belongs in here. Thing powders, seeds, and boosters.

But let’s not be fooled, there are lots of way that people can ditch the good stuff in place of the sweet stuff. So the great news is, you truly can have your cake and eat it too just lets work with nature.

A lot of people have asked for recipes, and really at the end of the day, the formula that comes to me are like these guys below:

 

But here are my tips:

  • Always use frozen Fruit
  • Sweeten later. Add a date or Honey
  • Start with a small amount of liquid. You can always add
  • Use a nut butter or oil to get it creamy and rich

Classic Acai Bowl

  • 1 pckg Acai Frozen
  • 1/2 frozen Banana
  • 1 Tbls Almond Butter
  • 1/2 cup Frozen Blueberries/raspberries
  • 1/2 cup plus more as needed of Almond Milk
  • 1 Tbls of maple syrup if desired
Greens Bowl
  • 1/2 cup Frozen Spinach
  • 1 Frozen Banana
  • 1 Cup Frozen Berries
  • 1/2 cup plus more as you go Almond Milk
  • 1 Tbls Coconut Oil or Nut ButterAdd ins or toppers

Blue Majik Coconut Bowl

  • 1 frozen Banana
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 1 Tbls Almond Butter
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 cup frozen Cauliflower
  • 1 tsp Blue Majik
  • opt. protein Powder

Paleo Bowl

  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1/2 cup frozen cauliflower
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 Tbls Coconut Oil
  • 1 Scoop Protein Powder
  • 1 tsp Matcha
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

Em’s Lavender Smoothie Bowl

  • 2 frozen Bananas approx
  • 1 scoop Vanilla protein ( i like garden of life organic plant based)
  • 1 + cups of Almond milk or non dairy of your choice
  • 1/2-1 tsp of Spirulina
  • 1 tsp food grade Lavender

  • Bee Pollen
